At a pool party last week, a 50 something aged woman came to me and asked what she could do to lose 20 pounds. She had put on over the last five years. Because I feel such passion about clean eating and exercise, it’s easy for me to share with enthusiasm A LOT of tips, but I asked her a simple question, “Do you drink pop/soda?” She said, “Oh sure, at least 2-3 Cokes every day and I have for several years.”
This change is a simple, but basic, first-step to move toward a clean eating food plan and a lifestyle with more energy and long-term health.
GIVE UP POP/SODA! Cold turkey! Today! Right now!!
Soda has a ridiculous amount of sugar and caffeine in some brands. Diet soda is filled with aspartame. The three bi-products are methanol, formaldehyde and formate. Don’t get me wrong, aspartame is approved by the FDA, but if you can cut this one product out of your diet, and replace it with water or green tea for a healthier choice.
